The four astronauts aboard the Artemis II moon mission have broken a distance record that has stood for 55 years.
They’ve travelled 406 thousand and 778 kilometers from Earth.
And they have just travelled around the far side of the moon, the first trip there in more than 50 years.
The Artemis II spacecraft made the first trip to the moon in more than 50 years on Monday, spinning around the far side of it (the moon) and reemerging on the other side, after four Astronauts reached the farthest distance from earth of any human beings in history.
Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports from Washington.
