Disruptions in Strait of Hormuz: Shipping companies consider alternative routes

Shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz are forcing companies to take longer routes around the Cape of Good Hope, adding 10–14 days and extra costs of up to $1 million per trip. African ports see some benefit, but it won’t offset the increased expenses.
